Magic (Japanese: 魔力, Hepburn: Maryoku; lit. magic power) was a method of gathering and utilising magical energy for a variety of uses, both combat-related and otherwise. By 1000 AD, there was no active study devoted to magic, and only a few limited applications had been passed down from earlier generations.[1][1.1]
