The "flower" (Japanese: 花, Hepburn: hana) was a parasitical plant-shaped object that latched on to an Intoner. As the parasite spread, it eroded the host Intoner's spirit and body. It could be destroyed by using a weapon derived from the cellular material of a dragon.[1][1.1]
