Beis was the Lord of the Land of Sands by the year 998. In May of the same year, his castle was besieged by a group of five magical girls known as Intoners. His servant [[Partition]] informed him of the invaders, and was authorised by Beis to deploy [[Chimeras]] to deal with the situation.{{Bookref|Utahime5|Volume 1, Chapter 1}} However, after seeing them, Beis hoped to kill the Intoners himself, and fought them using his Golem.
