Blue Order

The Blue Order (Japanese: 青の団, Hepburn: Ao no dan) was an underground revolutionary group formed in 986 AD.

History

Following years of corruption within the Church and its Magic Academy, as well as a failed revolt against them, the Blue Order was founded in 986 AD by dissatisfied wizards and the poor suffering under the Church.

In four years' time, the Blue Order began to gain traction. Many young wizards and landed lords who were dissatisfied with the Church supported their cause. A year later, they staged a massive revolt in the Cathedral City. They occupied the Central Magic Academy with the aim of abolishing the power of the landed lords within the institution, and creating a free and independent Magic Academy. However, the Blue Order was destroyed overnight by a large-scale sealing magic attack seen across the city. Eighty percent of the citizens living within two of the city's wards were used as catalysts for the sealing magic and died as a result. Meanwhile, the survivors went insane. Work began to bury them alive.
